Cathy Berg, 1970

Originally I'm from the Pacific Northwest, although I was born in Baltimore.  All my life I have drawn and painted pictures, but more as a passionate hobby than as a stated profession. Throughout my life I have traveled the world, living in Japan for twenty years. I have worked as a fashion model, in the restaurant business (from waitress to interior designer to owner), in real estate development, and I am a mother of three daughters.

Several years ago I decided the time was right for me to focus all my energy on my art and become a professional artist. I moved to the Netherlands 3 years ago and am studying Fine Arts on a part time basis. Where as I have always been a painter, my studies are taking me in a more 3D direction, and I am exploring new media and modes of artistic expression.
